Pray for Us
We ask that you pray for us year round, but we will post specific requests here at different times of the year. On our hearts for the month of December is the following:

1. Pray that we will find excellent dorm supervisors for boys and girls in 2011.

2. Pray that all our new students will be able to endure and stay in the program for the duration. They are all 13 and 14 (with one 15 year old) so they will be with us for 4 to 5 years.

3. Pray that our young people will be able to make the changes that lead to a better life. It is hard for anyone to truly change things about themselves, and these kids have been used to lying, stealing, using drugs and other habits that make it difficult to have a good life and to serve God's purposes. They need God's help and the good will of God's people. We have two boys at Kamulu who recently tried to smoke marijuana, and we have a girl who stole a shirt from among the things left by a visitor.

4. Pray that our Team members will remain enthusiastic and committed to loving these kids (who are sometimes not so lovable) and will stay with MITS for many years. We believe we need longevity to remain effective. We do not pay high salaries, and sometimes Team members find other places that will pay more money - and then it depends on the level of commitment they have to ministry, because the promise of more money is very tempting to the people here.

5. Pray that every student who graduates will find a community of faith and a satisfying job.

Thanks for praying. Be blessed!
