Hello everyone,
Life on the streets is challenging, difficult,
fearful and uncertain. There are a lot of difficulties

that
require adjustments, innovation and determination. Street kids are
innovative. They innovate new ways of earning a living.
They collect plastic, metal, or glass and resell these items.
Begging becomes a viable option for many of them. Sometimes
people donate fruit, vegetables or they offer to buy them a meal.
Many times the children go to sleep hungry. Recently, we came
across some street boys who had been given some potatoes. I was
impressed with their creativity. They put together a few large
stones and then put a large tin can on top of the stones. A fire
was started under the tin can with plastic and other pieces of trash
which even included an old shoe. This was used to
cook the potatoes. They were eagerly waiting for the potatoes to
be cooked and eaten at lunch time.
Our visits to the bases include relationship
building, counseling and preaching. Listening to

their concerns
and offering prayers for them is something we do almost daily.
Rarely does anyone visit with street kids or listen to them.
However, we make it a point to do this. We are welcomed at their
'bases'. They may offer us a rock or an old tire to sit on.
They usually have some problems that we pray for. These problems
may be health issues or relationship problems. We always share
the gospel with them and encourage them to follow the Lord.
Anthony and Kennedy are especially good at communicating with the
street kids. They are both former street kids who chose to leave
their life on the streets and join the program at Made In the
Streets. They are very valuable to our outreach on the
streets. In the photo you can see Anthony sharing the
gospel with the kids at the Lilleput base.
Thanks to all of you who make this ministry possible.
